How We Work

Cabinet in the shop
Most jobs are built to match a specific need of a client. In our first meeting, we listen to your ideas and needs and take measurements and photographs of the space, if possible. An initial drawing and estimate for the work will be presented for your review. Revisions are made to the design and an estimate and final drawing are prepared so you know the expected cost of the project. After your approval of the final drawings, construction can begin. A wood sample is also presented to you for approval before we start the work. Our customers are always invited to our shop during the construction process to see the progress. After the finish cures, we deliver and install your new custom cabinet!
What Makes Us Different
It takes experience to be considered a master craftsman. After graduation from Rochester Institute of Technology, where I received my BFA in woodworking and furniture design. I worked as a studio assistant at Penland School of Craft working side-by-side with experienced instructors learning woodworking techniques which became the foundation for my growth as a master craftsman.
In the past twenty years, I have expanded my knowledge and expertise by working in cabinet companies and in my own business interacting with architects, designers, builders and homeowners. As a salesman my project management skills included working on multiple projects simultaneously and delivery in a cost-effective, timely manner. Commissioned work allows me to work one-on-one with homeowners to meet their individual requests; to bring their dreams to reality.
The projects have come a long way from my first job. Today I build many different types of cabinets and custom furniture pieces including prototype chairs and tables for large, international furniture companies. Twenty years later, I continue to be excited about the process, looking forward to each new challenge.
